The hotel was in a great location, pretty much in between both “islands” that you want to visit. It was also right by all the main food streets and foot traffic areas. The breakfast is normal, and they will make you a coffee of your liking to order. You have espresso and water in the room, and the wifi is nice and strong. The rooms were a touch hot for my taste, even with the heat off. The rooms could benefit from a overhead fan or an in room fan to plug in, but that’s my only suggestion. Great hotel, 100% recommend.

Lovely hotel in a perfect position The room was lovely and the view from the fourth floor mesmerising. The staff were all really kind and helpful. Very nice breakfast, great little spa in the basement. Small but very enjoyable terasse

Outstanding experience. 66 St Paul is a beautifully refurbished palazzo with stellar attention to detail and all comforts. We had a 5the floor room with beautiful view of the 3 cities and grand harbor. It was not warm enough to use pool while we were there but the pool area was lovely. We were warmly greeted each time we came or went front the hotel. Staff had wonderful restaurant recommendations and as you are inside the walls nowhere was more than. 10 minute walk. Easy to get to fast ferry to Gozo as well as all restaurants/sites in town (and mostly all pedestrian friendly!). Hotel was so helpful in arranging taxi to airport. Even loaned us a 3 prong plug when we realized we didn’t have the correct adapter (note they use the ‘British’ adapter instead of European in Malta. Breakfast was great - appreciated the egg muffins and Greek yogurt for protein as well as the lovely fresh baked pastries and breads. Location, service and amenities were all top of the line and deserving of 5 stars!

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was just as described and what we expected. The welcome was great and overall all the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was continental and really tasty and there was plenty to choose from, including a very good selection of savoury pastries. The room was very well appointed with a spacious bathroom and really nice cotton bed linen. The air conditioning was quiet and kept the room cool. The hotel is in a very good location for all the local bars and restaurants but also was quiet at night inside so we got a good nights sleep. All in all we would stay here again without hesitation.

Full disclosure: I didn't stay at the hotel. My partner and I attended for a spa day to celebrate out anniversary. We booked a couples package that included a joint massage, sound bath, use of the pool area and lunch. However, I feel our experience is important to detail here because after our time there there is no way I would book to stay. It started with a phone call a few days before our booking to say that our couples massage was not possible and instead our day together would have to be split up because there was only one therapist available. Not the end of the world but not what we booked and paid a reasonable sum for. On arrival on the day we turned up at the hotel to be ignored for the first 15 minutes. I eventually found a reception staff member who said she had been in the toilet. We went down to the spa to sit there waiting for someone to welcome us. The therapist eventually arrived. To be fair the therapist was lovely and the treatments were nice apart from the feeling that they were trying to hard sell extras. The whole day was unnecessarily stressful. There was no-one around the pool area to speak to to understand how to get a drink. It took 25 minutes for a coffee to arrive. I ordered a latte and got a black coffee no milk. Then they bought lunch for two up while my partner was having his massage. They took that away and the rude and abrasive manager turned up to speak to me. She was down right rude. No apology and just an excuse that the spa was to blame but ultimately the hotel is responsible for looking after guests on spa days. It was a horrible experience and i the spa day is like that I would not want to stay in a hotel that threats guests in that way. I hope the rooms are amazing because the service and welcome is terrible.
